Ever since the very first PSOne was released over a decade ago there was rumours and speculation that Sony would release a portable system of some kind. Many believed that like Nintendo's handhelds the hardware running the games would be vastly inferior to home consoles. How wrong they were. The Playstation Portable, or PSP for short, includes essentially the same hardware as the Playstation 2.
